The practice has undertaken a number of substantial projects for this prominent national food manufacturer based in Norwich. Projects have covered every aspect of the food production facility and included refurbished and reconfigured offices, specialist storage facilities, extensive new staff facilities including canteen and changing areas, potato loading bays and intake buildings, dispatch bays, oil storage areas, cook rooms, chimney construction, flue layouts and roof configuration, engineer workshops, hygiene facilities, meeting rooms and reception area.

The staff canteen shown here opens onto a garden with bi-fold sliding doors and a glazed canopy. A central roof light feature ensures the canteen has a bright and welcoming ambience and the whole provides a high standard of accommodation for the factory staff.

We work with our industrial clients in a partnering role to ensure that the programming of the work is carefully coordinated to meet the factories’ operational requirements with minimum disruption to production, co-ordinating building works at annual shut down periods wherever practicable. We have also overseen all the construction works.

Naturally liaising with the Planning Department and particularly liasing with the Environmental Health Department on all emissions, drainage, noise, and transport movements has been central to every project.
